Physically located between the navel and the bottom of the sternum, the Solar Plexus Chakra is also called the Manipura, also called the Navel Chakra. This Chakra has ten petals and is sometimes called the 'place of gems' or 'shining like a pearl' and 'fire in the center'. It is symbolic in the human anatomy to the Sun center and the solar dieties associated are Ra (Egyptian), Vishnu (Hindu), Kukuulaan (Mayan) but also the feminine Goddess Kali. This Chakra is like the sun in the center of your body, bringing in the solar radiance as a type of prana to flow to all vital organs and to sustain physical vitality and supply the vagus nerve complex. It is from this Chakra that mastery of the body is achieved.
Highly functioning, this Chakra imparts great personal empowerment, expansiveness, growth, and courage.
The Solar Plexus Chakra is associated with digestive problems, diabetes, and cancer, and, most of all - stress. The proverbial 'knot' in the stomach is a sign of blockage here. Many physical symptoms that appear to be related to a different Chakra are actually a result of too much stress, and therefore may originate in this Solar Plexus Chakra. For instance headaches, neckache, high blood pressure, colitis, palpitations, ulcers, and rashes, may be secondary symptoms resulting from a blockage in this Chakra.
Elements of the body connected with this Chakra are all internal organs, the process of digestion, also metabolism as it governs the islets of langerhans in the pancreas where they produce insulin and glucagons.

It has been said that the lower emotional aspects of spiritual ignorance, thirst, jealousy, treachery, shame, fear, disgust, delusion, foolishness, and sadness are purified in this chakra before moving upwards to purify the Heart Chakra. The ten petals of this Chakra are representative of these ten emotional aspects.
Herein lies the mind-body connection. One's vibrational field is expanded here, the more expanse, the more light, the wider the field. From here wisdom is assimilated into the subconscious mind which in turn increases spiritual energy with which we can heal our physical bodies.
VISUALIZATIONS AND EXERCISES TO AWAKEN AND BALANCE THE SOLAR PLEXUS CHAKRA:

Imagine a bright light - the sun, the moon, even a flashlight, or a candle. If you have a candle to look at that is good. Or, before you begin, you can go outside and look at the sun. But the idea is to imagine this bright yellow light on fire, radiating. Sit or lie down for some quiet. Allow the sun image to move into your belly/stomach area. Keep your thoughts returning to this center of light in your belly if your mind wanders. Then imagine the rays of yellow light beginning to radiated from your Solar Plexus Chakra outward, through all your organs, then to your arms, hands, legs, feet, and head, bringing vitality to all it touches. Breathe deep. Imagine in particular any problem area receiving a life giving healing, light energy. Absorb, enjoy!
#2 YELLOW STONE HEALING
Lie down on the floor. Place two clear quartz crystals with points, one above your head, one below your feet- making sure they point toward your body. Place a yellow stone (c
